Terms & Conditions of Entry, Use & Event Attendance
1. Definitions

"Gallonray House" refers to Drumgoon Community Centre Co-operative Society Limited, including its buildings, grounds and facilities.

"The Society" refers to the governing cooperative body responsible for management.

"Management" refers to the Committee of Management or authorised representatives.

"Visitor" includes any person entering the premises.
-
"Event" includes any ticketed or non-ticketed activity, class, function, or gathering.
2. General Conditions of Entry
2.1 Entry to Gallonray House is at the discretion of Management.
2.2 All visitors must comply with these Terms & Conditions and any instructions given by staff or authorised personnel.
2.3 Management reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or disruptive.
2.4 Entry may be subject to capacity limits, health and safety requirements, or specific event conditions.
3. Use of Facilities
3.1 Gallonray House is a community facility operated for the educational, cultural and social benefit of the community.
3.2 All users must:

Respect the premises, equipment, and surrounding property

Leave spaces clean and in the condition they were found

Follow all posted signage and safety guidelines
3.3 Any damage caused must be reported immediately and may result in charges for repair or replacement.
3.4 Commercial or private hire use must be agreed in advance and may be subject to separate terms.
4. Ticketed Events
4.1 A valid ticket (digital or physical) must be presented for entry to ticketed events.
4.2 Tickets are non-transferable unless otherwise stated.
4.3 Refunds or exchanges are only permitted in accordance with the specific event policy.
4.4 Late arrivals may be admitted at Management's discretion.
4.5 Management reserves the right to:

Refuse entry or remove attendees without refund for misconduct
5. Behaviour & Conduct
5.1 All visitors must behave respectfully towards staff, volunteers, performers, and other attendees.
5.2 The following are strictly prohibited:

Anti-social, abusive, or aggressive behaviour

Illegal activities
-
Damage to property
5.3 Any breach may result in immediate removal from the premises and possible exclusion from future events.
6. Health & Safety
6.1 Visitors must comply with all health and safety procedures, including emergency evacuation instructions.
6.2 Children must be supervised at all times unless participating in a supervised activity.
6.3 Visitors participate in activities at their own risk unless otherwise covered by applicable law.
6.4 Management may impose additional safety measures where required.
7. Alcohol & Substances
7.1 Alcohol may only be consumed where permitted and in accordance with licensing requirements.
7.2 Illegal substances are strictly prohibited on the premises.
7.3 Management reserves the right to refuse entry or remove anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
8. Liability
8.1 Gallonray House accepts no responsibility for:

Loss, theft or damage to personal belongings
Injury sustained where negligence cannot be proven
8.2 Visitors enter and use the premises at their own risk, subject to applicable Irish law.
8.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot be legally excluded.
9. Photography & Media
9.1 Photography and video recording may take place at events for promotional purposes.
9.2 By entering the premises, visitors consent to being photographed or recorded unless they notify Management in advance.
9.3 Personal photography may be restricted at certain events.
10. Bookings & Cancellations
10.1 Facility bookings must be made in advance and confirmed by Management.
10.2 Cancellation policies will apply as outlined at the time of booking.
10.3 Management reserves the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, including safety concerns or operational requirements.
11. Governance & Authority
11.1 Gallonray House is managed by a Committee in accordance with the Society's governing rules.
11.2 The Committee has authority over:
- Use of the premises
- Event approvals
- Operational decisions
11.3 All decisions made by Management in relation to safety, conduct, and use of the facility are final.
12. Data Protection & GDPR
12.1 Gallonray House is committed to protecting and respecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Data Protection Acts.
12.2 Personal data collected (e.g. for bookings, ticket purchases, or enquiries) will be used solely for:
- Processing bookings and payments
- Communicating about events or services
- Meeting legal or regulatory obligations
12.3 Personal data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary (e.g. payment processors) or required by law.
12.4 Data will be retained only for as long as necessary for its intended purpose.
12.5 Individuals have the right to:
- Access their personal data
- Request correction or deletion
- Object to or restrict processing
12.6 Requests relating to personal data should be directed to the Society via official contact channels.
13. Child Safeguarding
13.1 Gallonray House is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable persons in accordance with national guidelines and best practice.
13.2 All activities involving children must:

Be appropriately supervised

Be conducted in a safe and respectful environment
13.3 External organisers using the facility are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate safeguarding policies and Garda vetting where required.
13.4 Any safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately to Management.
14. Force Majeure
14.1 Gallonray House shall not be held liable for failure to perform its obligations where such failure is due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Severe weather conditions

Power outages
-
Fire, flood, or structural damage
-
Public health emergencies
-
Government restrictions or directives
14.2 In such circumstances:

Events or bookings may be cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled
-
Where possible, alternative arrangements or refunds will be considered at Management's discretion
15. Amendments
15.1 These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.
15.2 Continued use of the premises constitutes acceptance of the latest version.
